Beginners Croquet Lessons for members commence 19th May!! 6 weeks x 90 minute lesson, either Saturdays at 3pm or Wednesdays at 6pm, whichever slot suits you best. Acquire the skills after just 6 weeks to enter the RJ Leonard Novice Cup this Summer (and win the largest trophy in the Club!!). The National Veterans Championships were held in Belfast, (Finals February 26^th). Paddy McCooey and David Murphy both won singles National titles.

Paddy McCooey – National O40 Champion

David Murphy – National O55 Champion

Sinead Lohan played in Ireland’s victory against Great Britain in the pre Fed Cup challenge, and won the ITF U18 Netherlands Open, (her 4^th ITF U18 title). She plays Fed Cup in April.

Gareth Greene made the semi Final in the ITF wheelchair tournament in Preston

Robert McCollum and Oisin Shaffrey represented Ireland in the Winter Cup U12s in Bucharest

Holly Monahan – was finalist in the U18 singles in the National Spring Championships.

In 2012, Carrickmines members have participated in tournaments in all the International Tennis Federation (ITF) categories.

This includes Junior, Senior, Vets, and the Wheelchair sections. It is the first time any club in Ireland has had a representation in all the sections in the same year.

The 2012 National Junior Rankings have been published and include results from November 2011. The points are updated by Tennis Ireland to reflect on-going Matchplays and tournament results. Full details of the ranking process can be obtained here.
