08 May Gymnastic Cup Report

We had a dry if somewhat chilly couple of days for the 2019 Gymnastic Cup. Play was hotly contested with a combination of singles and doubles play. There was a sporting spirit with many impromptu coaching opportunities taken by the more experienced players to aid both partners and opponents who were new to the Association Croquet format with great promise shown by new comers such as David Murray with his two doubles victories.

Victory went however to the more experienced players with Sylvia Briggs runner up with two wins and a superior hoop difference score and the cup winner was our Croquet Captain Alan Looney with four wins from four.
