The photo shows him being presented with the Carl von Schmieder Cup by Yvonne Marrinan who donated the trophy to the Club in memory of former Carrickmines member Carl.

Played in cold, wet weather last Saturday, Simon Williams added to his bag for the year by winning the Club Championship. He defeated Nathaniel Healy 2-1(+22, -8, +13) on a treacherous Lawn 1, where the surface water added greatly to the excitement – the northern half of the Lawn was about 4 times the speed of the other half, making precision play very difficult!
