Introduction

Grand Slammers in Carrickmines is a 9 part series by Pat Crowe about Grand Slam players and their connections to Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club. Players include Heather Watson, Samantha Smith, Fred Perry, June Anne Byrne, Yannick Noah, Mats Wilander, Geraldine Barniville, Stefan Edberg, Lesley O’Halloran, John McEnroe, Conor Niland and Pat Cash.

Both the “Carrickmines Grand Slammers” and the “County Dublin Championships” series will be added to and edited on an ongoing basis with feedback and new material. Thanks to Imelda Loughnane and Paul Cotter for the editing and to all who have supplied photos and information.
