Carrickmines Croquet & Lawn Tennis Club is an active, family-friendly tennis club offering tennis on 7 synthetic grass, 3 indoor acrylic and up to 8 grass tennis courts at the height of the summer months.  The Clubhouse incorporates changing rooms, showers, sauna and gymnasium. Carrickmines caters for all levels of tennis players ranging from the beginner/improver to international under the guidance of the Club Tennis Committee, the Director of Tennis Pat Crowe and the Club Coaching Team.

 

Autumn and Spring team tennis leagues are popular among social players, as are Super Tuesdays, Thursdays and Club Night.  Members are welcome to sign up and play tennis with fellow members with the chance to compete for a small prize, and afterwards mingle in the clubhouse for refreshments.

 

Our men’s and women’s teams compete in Dublin Lawn Tennis Council winter, summer, senior and floodlight leagues ranging from Classes 1 – 7.

 

We host the County Dublin Open Championships , the closed Club Championships, and a series of competitive friendly fixtures with other clubs & universities in Leinster, Munster and Ulster.

 

The Junior and Senior Open weeks are traditionally among the largest and most prestigious in Ireland. Carrickmines hosted the premium tennis competition in the country the Irish Open last year which was televised by TG4.

 

Carrickmines C&LTC is an active member of the Swiss based International Association of Centenary Tennis Clubs (CTC) enabling the club cater for all levels of competitive tennis such as International CTC events.

 

Past Wimbledon Champions Joshua Pim and Willoughby Hamilton both played in the club and served on the Club Committee in the early days of tennis.
