This shot shows Rocio Belinchou investigating a stone revetment which lines one side of a small medieval ditch. This revetment is only present at a small part of the ditch, indicating that the ditch was weakened here and needed reinforcing.

Here we see Sarah Tobin excavating a newly discovered circular stone feature. It has thin round stonewalls and a stone base, and so is possibly designed to store water. However further investigation will be needed before its true purpose can be determined.

Here we have three finds from the site. The first is a Medieval Iron Axe Head. The second is a very good example of Dublin Type Wear, a medieval local pottery type. This piece is the rim sherd of a jug. This third piece is known as Sgraffito Wear. It is a post medieval pottery from the continent. This particular piece is the corner of a plate.

Here we see a post medieval temporarily reassembled with tape. This pottery type is quite modern dating from the 18th Century, and is believed to be a chamber pot!
